Short description

EU comprehensive regulations in the field of safety and health of workers at work is the main issue of this course. The course aims to explain general principles concerning the prevention of occupational risks and safety and health protection.

Main topics of the training includes elimination of risk and accident factors, the informing, consultation, balanced participation in accordance with national laws and/or practices and training of workers and their representatives, as well as general guidelines for the implementation of the said principles. The EU member states are obliged to integrate these matters into their national regulations. Where appropriate this is exemplified with regulations from Germany.

In the end of the course a student will know

• which EU regulation are relevant for occupational safety and health
• objectives, scope and requirements of overall directive 
• requirements for special personnel assigned to deal with occupational safety and health.
